Cranks and Chainsets are the heart of your bikes groupset. All the power from your legs is pushed through the cranks before it goes through the chain to the rear wheel. Mountain bike chainsets are available in a range of formats from thick/thin single ring set ups to double and triple ring MTB cranksets. Road bike chainsets feature bigger chainrings. Compact double chainsets are the most popular although racers will prefer larger semi-compact or race cranksets. Single ring chainsets are also an option for road bikes.
